Students are expected to complete 136 credits of courses during four years. In addition, our Academic English programs aim to enhance IU students\u2019 academic success in English-speaking environments at IU and other universities all over the world. We focus on major areas of English language use in academic contexts, such as academic reading, listening to lectures and note-taking skills, techniques for effective academic presentations, academic writing, technical and research writing. We also provide many on-campus services such as Film Club, English Speaking Club, Language Labs, and Writing Center to offer opportunities for English learning and language use.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Bachelor of English Language and Linguistics (IU-UWE)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This is a joint program between International University (IU) and the University of the West of England (UK). Students can choose among the 2+2, 3+1, or 4+0 options and earn the Bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of the West of England.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, prospective students, current undergrads and others can visit our website at: https:\/\/el.luckyjumps.com\/<\/p>\n<p>Upon graduation from the B.A.\u2019s degree program in English Linguistics and Literature, students will be ready to work for professional fields, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Government offices, publishing houses, or private companies with specifications in translation, interpretation, editing service, or tourism.<\/li>\n<li>Research institutions and universities, offices with specializations in English language and applied linguistics.<\/li>\n<li>High schools, language centers, private classes in companies and factories.<\/li>\n<li>Domestic and international companies with demand of high quality labor force in the fields of customer service, communication, and foreign relations.<\/li>\n<li>Careers in international communication which require proficient English speaking and writing skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students can continue to further their study and research at universities in the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESEARCH ORIENTATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our research focuses on developing and implementing innovative teaching methods to improve students\u2019 academic preparation for college-level success.
