On November 8th<\/sup>, 2022, Vietnam National University \u2013 Center for Education Accreditation (VNU-CEA) began the official site visit for the external assessment to assess Food Technology \u00a0(FT) <\/em><\/strong>bachelor program at International University, VNU-HCM.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Opening Ceremony was honored to have the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dinh Van Tran \u2013 Vice-President, Chair of Accreditation Council, Assoc. Prof. Bui Duy Cam \u2013 Head of External Assessment Team (EAT), and other team members. Representatives from International University \u2013 VNU-HCM included Dr. Ho Nhut Quang \u2013 Secretary of the Party Committee, Chair of IU Council, Assoc. Prof. Tran Tien Khoa \u2013 President of IU, members of the Board of Presidents, Heads of Divisions under IU, members of the Self-assessment Council, lecturers, and students.<\/p>\n

A<\/em>ssoc. Prof. Tran Tien Khoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and President of IU-VNU-HCM, delivered a speech in the opening ceremony.<\/em><\/p>\n

During the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Tran Tien Khoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President of IU, shared: \u201cAll the officers, lecturers, learners, and students at IU are fully aware of the importance of the external assessment for the school programs. This assessment displays the objective, multi-faceted and holistic view of the programs. It covers the programs\u2019 development, lecturers, facilities, and post-graduation employment. Later, the School and IU will be able to continue to improve their programs, and other activities to advance the quality, meeting the labor market\u2019s requirements, and reinforcing the University\u2019s position and prestige.\u201d<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dinh Van Toan, <\/em>Vice-President of VNU-CEA delivered his opening speech.<\/p>\n

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dinh Van Toan expressed his gratitude toward IU for choosing and cooperating effectively with VNU-CEA, as well as toward the Assessment Team. He also suggested IU and other related divisions cooperate well with the EAT to ensure the assessment\u2019s procedure and quality. To show CEA\u2019s commitment toward the fairness and objectiveness of the assessment process, Assoc. Prof. Dinh Van Toan, on behalf of the center, asked the EAT to not only record the program\u2019s strengths and weaknesses, but also to base on the requirements in the standards set provided by MOET to give suggestions on possible improvements to the University, the School in charge of the program, and other divisions.<\/p>\n

During the opening, representatives of the School of Biotechnology\u2019s Board of Leaders thoroughly presented the curriculum.<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Vu Hong Ha \u2013 Chair of Department of Food Technology thoroughly presented the curriculum.<\/em><\/p>\n

After the opening, EAT continued to scrutinize the evidence and execute other activities as scheduled such as online interviewing with stakeholders, collecting feedback from involved parties, and visiting and assessing the facilities used for the program.<\/p>\n

The official assessment at International University, VNU-HCM will last from the 8th<\/sup> to the 10th<\/sup> of November, 2022.<\/p>\n
